Welcome! It flows very nicely. Any particular reason you began with winter? Usually, people end with it - as a kind of death of seasons.

i think it had more to do with song lyrics
"winter, spring, summer or fall, all you have to do is call and i'll be there, you've got a friend"
than any thought of life cycle. But then, if i did think in cycle terms, i view winter as "waiting to start".
